Who We Are

Caribbean Cricket Club was founded on January 1, 1984, In Los Angeles, California by a Group of Dedicated Caribbean Nationals. Caribbean Cricket Club of Los Angeles, Inc. is a California 501(c)(3) – Non-Profit Corporation Sports Club that have been in business since January 1, 1984. We are a Member of the Southern California Cricket Association Inc., and the United States Cricket Association. We are an Affiliate of the International Cricket Council. We currently have Fifty-Four Cricket Teams under the banner of the Southern California Cricket Association. Caribbean Cricket Club of Los Angeles, Inc. is the One Day Cricket Sports Club Champion and the T20 Cricket Sports Club Champion 2018-2022. A Board of Directors manage us. We have members from the Caribbean, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. We have expanded our club over the years to be truly a melting pot of an International Community, with people of all races, color, sexual orientation, and creed. The Caribbean Cricket Club of Los Angeles, Inc. is an advocacy group that is dedicated to promoting and advancing the sport of cricket in the Los Angeles area. Founded by a group of passionate cricket enthusiasts, the organization is committed to creating opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to learn, play and enjoy the sport. In addition to promoting cricket, the Caribbean Cricket Club of Los Angeles, Inc. also strives to build community and promote cultural awareness. The group has organized various events, including charity matches, cricket tournaments, and community outreach programs, which have been successful in engaging people from different backgrounds and fostering a sense of togetherness.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be the leading advocate for Caribbean cricket in Los Angeles, inspiring and empowering our community to fully embrace the sport as a vehicle for social, cultural, and economic development.

Purpose

To promote, develop, encourage, foster, and cultivate interest in the game of cricket and Social and Physical Development.
To initiate, sponsor, promote and carry out plans, policies and activities which will lend to further the development of cricket and in general Sports in California.

To engage in all lawful activities and operations usually and normally engaged in by a non-profit corporation.

Rose Lanam RN/BSN Vice President

Past President/Board Member for over 15 Years. Under her Presidency, Caribbean Cricket Club won the ODI and T20 Cricket Championship 2019-2020. A Serial Entrepreneur in Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Services for over 40 Years.

Ray Dee Past President Club Director

Ray is a Past President/Current Board Member and has been an enthusiastic and instrumental leader in the progressive and forward development of the club for over 15 Years.

Dr. Sandra Minott PHD Secretary

DR Sandra Minott is a graduate of the Prestigious Queens High School and the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She completed her Doctorate in Human Services at Walden University. Dr. Minott is a very quiet, humble, and beautiful human being. She believes that service to humanity is imperative.

Usha Sahadeva-Brooks Treasurer

Our Treasurer /Board Member Extraordinaire for over 15 Years. Retired from UCLA as a Financial Analyst. A very strict member. Traveled the world with her mom and dad, who are Diplomats of Sri Lanka.

Lewin Harrison MBA/ Director

Board Member/PR/Media for over 15 Years. Earned his Masters’s Degree in Business Administration. Lewin is a Businessman/Real Estate/Broker. Very dedicated to the cause of human development.

Christopher Lane Cricket Captain

Chris is a Businessman and Captain/Board Member of the Caribbean Cricket Club for over Ten Years. He is the most successful captain of the club winning the ODI, T20 and all formats of the game 2019-2022. A very intelligent and astute individual. He is very dedicated to Caribbean Cricket Club.

Harpreet Singh Vice-Captain

‘Vice captain of Caribbean Cricket Club. Hails from India. Member for over 5 years. He plays for SCCA and is a member of a Minor League Club. This young man is the future of the Caribbean Cricket Club.

Harry Bhullar Manager

New Director /Member of Caribbean Cricket Club. A very successful businessman. Harry is dedicated to the development of Young Talented Cricketers and to the development of humanity.

Maurice Donald Selector

Past President/Board Member/ Past Captain of the Club/Manager now Selector. Have been a Long Standing Member for over 30 Years. He is very dedicated to the club and speaks from the heart. Maurice is a Retired from the Los Angeles Department of Water Power as a Senior Electrical Mechanic Supervisor. He is a Master Electrician Certified by the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Anthony Wellington Director

Member of Caribbean Cricket Club for over 30 Years. Selector extraordinaire for over 15 Years, now Assistant Selector. Always positive and upbeat. Joined the Board of Directors in 2023 as a Long standing Member of the Club.

Rodney Cuttings Coach

Rodney hails from Barbados and is the proud father of Fidel Edwards, a West Indies/Barbados now Caribbean Cricket Club Cricketer. Rodney is our National Coach/Technical Director for over 15 Years. He is also the Coach of the Southern California Cricket Team. A very dedicated Caribbean Cricket Club Member.

Garfield Creamer Esq. Legal Advisor

A Graduate of Loyola Law School. Admitted to Practice in California and Florida in Criminal Defence with over 20 Years of experience. Based in Pasadena and work throughout Southern California.
